Prichsenstadt is a small town in the district Kitzingen in the Lower Franconia in Bavaria in Germany. Prichsenstadt is located in the Franconian wine country between the Main and the Steigerwald highlands.
Medieval townWell-preserved medieval town (cobblestones, half-timbered / stone houses and gates), is the destination of many tourists. Great art-historical significance has the church of St. Vitus (ordained on the October the 3rd, 1233), which dominates the city. It is a three-aisled cross basilica from 12th century and is considered the most important Romanesque basilica with vaults in Swabia.
