Oberwesel is a city on the river Rhine. It is located in Rhineland-Palatinate in the district Rhein-Hunsrück-Kreis. Oberwesel now boasts the most extensive remains above the city walls, in the middle of the Rhine. In the middle of the Rhine is the largest wine-growing village Oberwesel. There is the Gothic church of the Virgin Mary and St. Martin.
