Black Forest mountain range
Mountain range
The Black Forest is Germany's highest and largest contiguous mountain range and is located in the southwest of Baden-Württemberg. In the southern Black Forest are large height differences between the peaks and valleys of energy storage of water to be used as pumped storage power plants, like the Hornberg reservoir or dam Schluchsee. As the name suggests, the Black Forest is rich in trees and forests and has been used traditionally for timber.
