Hooksiel is a coastal resort in the district Friesland, on the east Friesland such as a fishing and tourist town Büsum. The village lies about 14 kilometers northwest of Wilhelmshaven, and 10 km northeast from the county town of Jever. The town has several historic buildings, most notably the town hall. Hooksiel is a seaside resort with artificial grass and sandy beaches. It offers sports facilities from tennis and horseback riding, sailing and surfing to golf at the nearby golf course.There is usable year-round indoor pool with sea water and artificial waves.
