Greding in Altmühltal Nature Park

Greding city

Greding is a city in Middle Franconia, in the district Roth in Bavaria in Germany. It lies on the river Schwarzach in Altmühltal Nature Park. The city is a state-recognized resort.

Dominants of the town

Visually dominates the market hunting lodge of prince bishop Johann von Schenk Euchara Castello, built by the court architect Jacob Engel. You will find here a Catholic parish church of St. Jacob. The present parish church was built between 1725 and 1736 on the place of previous building of the chapel, which was burned during the Thirty Years War.
