University city in the Saarland was founded in 1909 by merging the three cities - Saarbrücken, St. Johann and Malstatt-Burbach. Saarbrücken is the political, economical and cultural center of the Saarland. State Theatre building was built in 1937/38.
SightseeingYou will find a lot of sightseeing as the castle in baroque style Saarbrücken, Halberg Castle and the Old Bridge, built 1546/47. Diverse mix of entertainment in all parts of the city offers several indoor and outdoor pools.
