Cloppenburg is a district town and the largest city of the district Cloppenburg in federal country of Lower Saxony. The city is located in the area Oldenburger Münsterland between Mittelgebirge mountains and the North Sea, between the rivers Weser and Ems and is surrounded by dense forest rich for natural beauty typical for the North German countryside.
