Sights in Cloppenburg

Location

Cloppenburg is a district town and the largest city of the district Cloppenburg in federal country of Lower Saxony. The city is located in the area Oldenburger Münsterland between Mittelgebirge mountains and the North Sea, between the rivers Weser and Ems and is surrounded by dense forest rich for natural beauty typical for the North German countryside.

Sights

There are Museumsdorf, one of the largest and oldest open-air museums in Europe. In more than 53 old houses of northwest Germany, is captured the daily life of the rural population from the early modern period until today. Church of St. Andrew is the oldest church in the town Cloppenburg.
