Herbstein is a small town in the district Vogelsbergkreis in eastern Hesse.

The Frankfurter Roemer is one of the most beautiful Town Halls in the republic and for over 600 years the seat of city government. Rodenbach is a municipality in the district Main-Kinzig in the county of Hessen. Rodenbach is near Hanau, about 20 km east of Frankfurt am Main on the edge of Vorspessarts and is mostly surrounded by forest, which is part of the Hessian Spessart nature park. Both districts lie on the same name river Bach, known in its lower reaches as a Lache. It flows southwest the Rodenbach through Bulau and there opens into the Kinzig, which flows north over the direction of Hanau to Rodenbach. The nearest major town next to Hanau is Langenselbold.
