Lauter is a municipality in the district Erzgebirgskreis (Ore Mountains district) in Saxony and its history can be traced back to the 12th century. Lauter lies between two cities Aue and Schwarzenberg. The village is situated in the Ore Mountains and the surrounding countryside offers many interesting tourist destinations.

In the center is the historic town hall from 1875, which invites visitors to explore. Outdoor pool has been substantially renovated. There's a 50-meter swimming pool and a large open space for sports activities such as football and volleyball. There is also a children's playground.
