AttractionsWinterberg is internationally known as a place of World Cup Bobsleigh and Tobogganing and other winter sports. Among the local attractions includes also the Church of St. James and many old half-timbered houses in the old city. Also, ski jump on the St. George´s hill attracts many visitors. North of city center there is a medical park "In der Helle." In the summer there is the possibility to play minigolf, in the winter the park is an ideal place for sledding. In urban area rises the highest and most famous mountain in the Sauerland, Kahler Asten. In Winterberg you can visit one of the most biggest bikepark in Germany.

AttractionsThe city has always been a transportation hub and the center of the German textile and leather industries. You will find there Neo-Gothic Town Hall from 1900, neoclassical Vicelinkirche church from 1834 and a water tower from 1900. On the west of the city Neumünster there was founded ZOO in 1951. Museum of the Fabrics and of the Technology was opened in October 2007 with a new exhibition and in the new building. It shows the history of the textile industry in connection with the development of the city. In the city is a big shopping center.

SightsThe town is most known for its steel industry. The Protestant church of St. James in Peine offers an impressive vision for wall and ceiling paintings, and up to 800 places of worship and concerts. After the original church burned down in 1557, was rebuilt only a few hundred meters further south.
Leisure timePeine offers several dance halls and two well-equipped theater spaces, and therefore is a good place for cultural activities. Also, there are two cinemas, the larger one has 300 seats. Peine offers a wide range of sports activities. It includes many sports facilities and gyms, outdoor sports courts, fitness centers and schooting range.
