SightsThrough the town flows the river Elde. Among the most interesting buildings in the city includes the building of the former City Savings Bank, built in 1934/35, today it houses the Dresdner Bank. Church of St. Mary is parish church hall, located in the Neustadt. Arches and pillars dating from the 14th century. City Hall in the Old Market is a long two-storey brick building, originally dating from the 14th century. Zinnhaus on the Langenstrasse 24th was built in 1612, is the second oldest surviving secular building in Parchim. Parchim International airport is close to baltic port of Rostock, Wismar and Lübeck.
