The family-run Hotel zur Wiener Staatsoper, built in 1896 in a neo-Baroque style, is located in a side street of the Kärntner Straße shopping street, and only a 1-minute walk from the State Opera. The pedestrian zone starts right at the hotel’s doorstep. The rooms are all furnished in a traditional Viennese style, and each comes with a flat-screen satellite TV, a portable fan, and a bathroom.
