Burgenland wine-growing area

Location

Burgenland borders with Slovakia, has a long border with Hungary and in the south a border piece to Slovenia. The remaining Burgenland is surrounded by Styria and Lower Austria. Burgenland is divided into three regions, the northern Burgenland, Mittelburgenland and southern Burgenland.

Wine

Burgenland is Lower Austria with the most important wine-growing area in Austria, and the wine has a long tradition here.
