Information about The Winston Hotel

Offering light, modern rooms, home-cooked food, and a sports bar with plasma-screen TVs, The Winston Hotel is a family-run property just 5 minutes’ drive from Southampton’s centre. The Winston’s bright, stylish restaurant features views of the leafy garden and terrace, and is furnished with leather chairs and wooden flooring. Guests can enjoy hearty food from the menu or a daily specials board. There are 12 rooms in the main hotel, with 12 more in an attached guest house next door. Each room provides a TV with Freeview channels and tea/coffee-making facilities, and some include private bathrooms or basins in the room. Towels are provided at no extra cost. All rooms that have shared bathroom facilities have a sink in the room, and bathrooms are in close proximity. The main hotel offers a sports bar with 3 big-screen TVs showing live sports, a lounge bar and restaurant with home cooked menu and daily specials board. Southampton Rail Station, the nightlife hotspot of Bedford Place and the Mayflower Theatre can be reached in a 15-minute walk, while The West Quay Shopping Centre is 20 minutes away on foot.

Kindly note the property cannot process payments from American Express credit cards, and an alternative card will be required. For weekend group bookings of more than 6 people, different terms and conditions apply. The damage/ cleaning charge is GBP 75. Depending on the size of the group a security deposit may be required. Staff will contact you if this is the case. Some rooms are located in the main building and are above the sports bar. The bar closes from Monday to Thursday at 23:00, Friday and Saturday at 00:00 and Sunday at 22:30. Please note that for bookings of 3 rooms or more, a deposit may be required. Please note that the property has no lift. Late check-in is possible, subject to availability and by prior arrangement. Additional charges will apply. A deposit via debit card is required to secure your reservation. The property will contact you after you book to provide any payment instructions.
