Situated on the High Street, this grade II listed hotel, a former coaching inn has free Wi-Fi and private parking. The Star Hotel Just 450 metres from West Quay Shopping Centre, Southampton Central Train Station is less than a mile away. The Star Hotel is in a historical part of Southampton, about 650 metres from Southampton Port, with ferries to the Isle of Wight and cruise ship terminals. Bedrooms have a TV, telephone, and tea and coffee-making facilities. They also have a historical connection, as the Royal Family visited in the 1800s. Most rooms are en suite, and some have a four-poster bed. Guests can relax in the Lounge Bar, which offers a selection of cocktails and wines. Please note that the car park at The Star Hotel has a limited capacity and operates on a first-come, first-served basis, at a cost of GBP 4 per day for cars and GBP 5 for vans. Due to the style of the building, there are narrow and steep stairs leading to the rooms, which may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility. Please note, when paying in cash, a security deposit of GBP 50 will be charged on arrival and refunded at check out, subject to an inspection of the room.
