Built in the 1890s, Bentham Lodge retains several period features, including an ornate ceiling in the hallway. It is now a family-run boutique bed and breakfast. York Railway Station and the National Railway Museum are 1.7 miles away. A regular bus service takes 10 minutes to reach the city centre providing easy access to York Minster, the Castle Museum and the Shambles, as well as shops and restaurants.
