Thum is a city in Saxony district Erzgebirgskreis. In the beautiful countryside on the northern slope of the plateau Greifenstein and in the valley Wilisch and Jahnsbach lies a mountain town Thum. In the town there is the Church of St. Anne, which was destroyed in 1945 and from 1947 to 1951 was corrected. Between 1886 and 1975 the city was a center of a few narrow-gauge railway lines in the Ore Mountains.
