The Protestant church of St. James in Peine offers an impressive vision for wall and ceiling paintings, and up to 800 places of worship and concerts. After the original church burned down in 1557, was rebuilt only a few hundred meters further south.

Bad Dürkheim is a spa and county town in the metropolitan region Rhine-Neckar on the edge of the Pfälzerwaldes (Palatinate Forest). It is the seat of the district Bad Dürkheim. Bad Dürkheim is located on the eastern edge of the Palatinate Forest on the German Wine Road, about 30 km east of Kaiserslautern, and about 20 km west of Ludwigshafen and Mannheim. Approximately 15 km south of Neustadt an der Weinstrasse. Through Bad Dürkheim run the federal highways 37 and 271. From west to east the Isenach river flows through the city.
