SightsGerman National Theatre Weimar with the town band is the most important theater in Weimar. The largest local church is the parish church of St. Peter and Paul, which was largely built around 1500. Extensive landscaped park on the outskirts of the center is part of the green corridor along the few-kilometers-long river Ilm. Weimar is due to many historical sites, museums, galleries, theater and many other historical monuments, the most important destination for urban tourism in Thuringia. Thuringian sausages are renowned local specialty.

Run down here to the Danube, Inn and Ilz. Thanks to its picturesque and baroque architecture the city is frequently visited by tourists. You can take a boat cruise around Passau and the surrounding towns.
Public transportPassau has advanced network of public transport. There is the railvay station with trains running categories InterCity, Eurocity and ICE in the center of town and around the town there is motorway linking Regensburg to Linz. Important transport routes are also rivers Danube and Inn.
