SightsThe town is most known for its steel industry. The Protestant church of St. James in Peine offers an impressive vision for wall and ceiling paintings, and up to 800 places of worship and concerts. After the original church burned down in 1557, was rebuilt only a few hundred meters further south.
Leisure timePeine offers several dance halls and two well-equipped theater spaces, and therefore is a good place for cultural activities. Also, there are two cinemas, the larger one has 300 seats. SightsThe historic town hall was originally built in the 14th century after the great fire in 1634 was rebuilt in 1636. The town is dominated by the Protestant Church of St. Nicholas in the heart of the pedestrian zone. On the hill Langert stands 26 meters high tower Aalbäumle. Urban Observatory was built in 1969 as a school gymnasium Schubartovo Observatory. In Aalen was based a german football club VfR Aalen.

AttractionsEvangelical Church of the Apostles is the oldest church building in the city. The Martin Luther Church was built in 1857-1861 by architect Christian Heyden. It is a neo-Gothic hall church with western tower. The interior is equipped with a rotating gallery and a chandelier from the 1659th hangs here. Tourist attractions in the town are : Spieker at the Old Church Square, House Kirchstraße 21, Veerhoffhaus, Church of the Apostles, Old churchyard, Meiers mill and The Weber House. The Water Tower was put into operation in 1888 and was temporarily used as a café. City Park was built between 1908-09 in the area of the flow of the river Dalke and it is considered one of the most beautiful parks in Germany. The city has 24 sports facilities and 39 sports halls, three outdoor and two indoor pools.
