Heiligenhafen is a small town in the district Ostholstein in Schleswig-Holstein, on the eastern tip of the peninsula in the Baltic sea Wagria. In the local Heimat museum Heiligenhafen you get a historical perspective to the distant past of the city. In the center of the city is 750 years old church tower with stepped gable. Heiligenhafen is nationally recognized seaside resort and an important fishing site. Heiligenhafen marina is a harbour for sailing boats and motor yachts of virtually any size.

The Protestant church of St. James in Peine offers an impressive vision for wall and ceiling paintings, and up to 800 places of worship and concerts. After the original church burned down in 1557, was rebuilt only a few hundred meters further south.
