Gladenbach is a city in Hesse in the west district Marburg-Biedenkopf. The city lies at the eastern foot of the Westerwald nature reserve, natural park in the Lahn-Dill-Bergland.

On the western outskirts of the city Gladenbach there are ruins of Blankenstein castle. Ludwig Georg Hartig Park is a large park with numerous lawns. It reminds forest scientist Georg Ludwig Hartig born here. In the village Rachelshausen you will find half-timbered chapel from 1617. In the city is very popular basketball.

Giessen is located in the heart of the Land of Hesse, between the foothills of the Vogelsberg, the Taunus and Westerwald, in the picturesque valley of the river Lahn. In the city are the University of the Justus-Liebig-University Giessen and Secondary School. Here has its administrative headquarters district Giessen. Municipal Theatre was built in 1906-1907 and its architecture is heavily influenced by Art Nouveau style. Museum of mathematical sciences in the former main office of the first and only museum of its kind in Germany. It offers visitors a fun way to deal with mathematics.

Giessener Hütte

Giessener Hütte is located in the southern Giessen Hohe Tauern and is the starting point for hikes and climbs around the Hochalmspitze.

Bad Salzschlirf is a spa town in the district Fulda in the eastern Hessen. Bad Salzschlirf is located on the northeastern edge of the low mountain range Vogelsberg, in the Schlitz River Valley. In the Bad Salzschlirf you can invite many sports and recreational activities. You will find beautifully preserved half-timbered houses, narrow streets, romantic Art Nouveau buildings and also a park with old trees. Nice cafes and guesthouses invite guests to relax. Typical for the city are mineral thermal baths, salt baths, mud baths and wraps. Baroque tower from 1702 is still preserved and inside ther is the historic baptismal font from 1460.
