Split is by far the largest Dalmatian city and the second-largest city of Croatia. Spread over a central peninsula and its surroundings, Split''s greater area includes the surrounding seaside towns as well. An intraregional transport hub, the city is a link to numerous Adriatic islands and the Apennine peninsula, as well as a popular tourist destination.

Split is also one of the oldest cities in the area. While it is traditionally considered just over 1,700 years old counting from the construction of Diocletian''s Palace in AD 305, archaeological research relating to the original founding of the city as the Greek colony of Aspálathos in the 6th century BC, establishes the urban tradition of the area as being several centuries older.

Split Airport is also known as the Resnik Airport and is the third largest airport in Croatia.

Omišalj - a small town and port on the northwestern island of Krk, spread over the plateau above Omišalj Gulf.

In Omišalj Gulf are natural stone, pebble and sandy beaches and places. Some have modified concrete deck and lawn for sunbathing (beach Pesja).

The town is visited by those who prefer cheaper prices and less traffic beaches. The most important monument is the Romanesque church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary (Stomarina), enlarged in the 16th century. On the town square there is a house with balcony from the 16th century. There are held concerts and various cultural events. Narrow streets with beautiful corners worth a stroll.

Zadar is a city in Croatia on the Adriatic Sea. It is the centre of Zadar county and the wider northern Dalmatian region.

Zadar is a historical center of Dalmatia as well as the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Zadar. Zadar is the fifth largest city in Croatia and the second largest in Dalmatia. Zadar gained its urban structure in Roman times; during the time of Julius Caesar and Emperor Augustus, the town was fortified and the city walls with towers and gates were built.

On the western side of the town were the forum, the basilica and the temple, while outside the town were the amphitheatre and cemeteries. The aqueduct which supplied the town with water is partially preserved. Inside the ancient town, a medieval town had developed with a series of churches and monasteries being built. Paklenica National Park  is situated about 47 km northeast from Zadar and is good known for two canyons.
