Information about Berggasthof Wallackhaus

Located at 2,304 metres above sea level in the Hohe Tauern National Park, Berggasthof Wallackhaus is set on the Großglockner High Alpine Road right next to the ski slope on the Großglockner, Austria’s highest mountain. The traditionally furnished rooms offer flat-screen satellite TV and a hairdryer. The Wallackhaus features a winter garden and restaurant with mountain views. In winter, a spa area with a sauna, a steam bath, and an infrared cabin can be used by guests. There is also a relaxation room with panoramic mountain views, and the new Sky Bar. A dry room with a boot dryer and a small workshop are available free of charge for motorcyclists. In winter, the access road is closed, and the Wallackhaus can only be reached by cable car from Heiligenblut. Arrival and departure by cable car are free of charge for guests. In summer, the Kärnten Card is included in the rate. This card offers many free benefits and discounts all across Carinthia.

Guests staying 2 nights receive a 30% discount on the 2-day ticket, and for stays of 3 or more nights, a 50% discount on the multiple-day ticket is offered. Vouchers for the discounted tickets will be sent to you by e-mail at least 24 hours before arrival. You need to print out the voucher and exchange them at the toll station. Refunds or reimbursements are not possible. Half-board can be booked on site at a surcharge.
