Information about Matsunoi

Matsunoi offers Japanese-style accommodations and an indoor/outdoor hot-spring bath. Guests can wear Japanese Yukata robes and request relaxing massages for an extra cost. A free shuttle is available from Fukuchi Onsenguchi Bus Stop, which is a 5-minute drive away. The air-conditioned rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding. Each room comes with a TV, fridge and an en suite bathroom. Local products can be purchased at the gift shop. Complimentary refreshments are available at the lounge. A traditional multi-course meal is served for dinner and a set-menu for breakfast upon reservation. All meals are served in the guests’ rooms. Matsunoi Ryokan is a 5-minute drive from Okuhida Bear Farm and a 20-minute walk from Shinmei Shrine. JR Takayama Train Station is a 1-hour drive away.

Please note this property is located in Okuhida Hot Spring Villages. Guests will need to take a bus from JR Takayama Station. To use the hotel's free shuttle, call upon arrival at Fukuchiguchi Onsen Bus Stop. Contact details can be found on the booking confirmation. To eat breakfast or dinner at the property, a reservation must be made at least 1 day in advance. The property cannot take same-day request for meals. Guests with a tattoo may not be permitted to enter public bathing areas and other public facilities. The public hot-spring bath is available from 15:00 to 10:00. The public bath can be reserved for 45 minutes at an additional charge. Guests who wish to make reservations are kindly requested to notify staffs at the time of check-in. Please note that there are no restaurants, shops, foreign currency exchange machines around the area. Please inform Matsunoi in advance of your expected arrival time.
