Leipzig is a county city in the Free State of Saxony in Germany. It forms a center for economics and trade, administration, culture and transportation in the southeastern Germany. Leipzig is a core of the metropolitan area of Leipzig-Halle, and therefore part of the metropolitan area Saxon Triangle.The city is a major transportation hub and is one of the strongest economic areas in the Saxony land. They say, that the island called Baltrum because it were so small that was „bald rum“ („soon rum“). This alludes to the small size of the island. However, a complete circumnavigation of the island is about 15 km.
