Regensburg is the capital city of the Upper Palatinate and seat of Government of Upper Palatinate and seat of the chief administrative officer of the district Regensburg. Since 13 July 2006 is the Old Town of Regensburg with Stadtamhof in a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Regensburg is located at the most northern point of the Danube river and the inflow of the rivers Naab and Regen leftside in Bavaria. In the city there are two islands of the Danube, the Lower and the Upper Wöhrd.

Weimar is due to many historical sites, museums, galleries, theater and many other historical monuments, the most important destination for urban tourism in Thuringia. Thuringian sausages are renowned local specialty.

Bad Dürkheim is a spa and county town in the metropolitan region Rhine-Neckar on the edge of the Pfälzerwaldes (Palatinate Forest). It is the seat of the district Bad Dürkheim. Bad Dürkheim is located on the eastern edge of the Palatinate Forest on the German Wine Road, about 30 km east of Kaiserslautern, and about 20 km west of Ludwigshafen and Mannheim. Approximately 15 km south of Neustadt an der Weinstrasse. Through Bad Dürkheim run the federal highways 37 and 271. From west to east the Isenach river flows through the city.
