Hanseatic city of Lübeck is a city in northern Germany and southeast of Schleswig-Holstein on the Baltic Sea, in the district Lübeck. The medieval town center is a UNESCO world Heritage Site. The city center is a tourist destination, especially interesting is the oldest part of Lübeck. It lies mostly on the island between the river Trave and the Wakenitz. The city is also called "City of Seven Towers" and "Gateway to the North." Port of Lübeck is Germany´s largest port in the Baltic Sea. It connects Lübeck with Scandinavia, Russia and the Baltic States.

North of city center there is a medical park "In der Helle." In the summer there is the possibility to play minigolf, in the winter the park is an ideal place for sledding. In urban area rises the highest and most famous mountain in the Sauerland, Kahler Asten. In Winterberg you can visit one of the most biggest bikepark in Germany.

StemwedeMuseum in the former Levern parish from 1714 shows the local history of the monastery and the village of Levern. Seeing are exhibits of contemporary household, equipment for spinning and weaving and old costumes of the region. The castle Haldem is an old castle with castle park of about 8 hectares. Around the city there are four nature reserves. There are a swamp and wetlands with a variety of plant and animal species.
