State Castle Cesky Krumlov is an important architectural monument in the South Bohemian town Cesky Krumlov.
Its area is one of the largest castle complex in southern Bohemia. Due to the high patronage of Czech and foreign experts, in 1989 was declared a strictly protected cultural monument, and three years later became the subject of the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage.
Its origin dates back to the 14th century, but the last reconstruction lasted until the 19th century. In the 13th century castle resided, among other, important noble family Witigonen.
The most important monument, a real jewel in the crown of theatrical heritage is world famous baroque chateau theater, which is one of the best preserved theaters on the 18th century in Europe with almost fully equipped scenery, costumes, properties and stage equipment.
To visitors there are also open three galleries with contemporary Czech ceramic, glass and visual arts at the I., II. and IV. courtyard.

The house was built in the Romanesque style and the first description of it coming from 1370. Reconstruction to Baroque style around 1660 was with the former owner Straninger - Councillor of Krumlov. House is one of the sites listed on UNESCO list.
In the ground floor of the house there is located craft-art gallery. You can find Czech ceramic, glass,jewelly and artists workshops.
