Pula is the largest city in Istria County, Croatia, situated at the southern tip of the Istria peninsula.

The city is best known for its many surviving ancient Roman buildings, the most famous of which is its 1st century amphitheatre, which is among the six largest surviving Roman arenas in the world. HistoryBuje has a rich history; traces of life in the region date back to prehistoric times. The town developed from a Roman and Venetian settlement into a medieval town. A baroque church from the 16th century, built on the foundations of a Roman temple dominates the square.
