Podstrana is a municipality and settlement in Croatia in the Split-Dalmatia County. The settlement is housed in a fairly rural landscape considering its proximity to the nearby city of Split (c. 8 km away).

Peach growing has been replaced by tourism which is now the dominant sector for the population. Podstrana experiences a hot-summer Mediterranean climate with extremely long periods of sunshine throughout the year. Summers are very hot during the day, and hot in the summer nights.

Place was built as a type of closed, rectangular village. There are pebble and gravel beaches, built areas for sunbathing and recreation (slide). Pine forest extends to the beaches.

Marina is a municipality in Split-Dalmatia county, district Trogir. It is a tourist village with a sandy beach shaded by olive and pine trees. In a field close to the village there is a small Gothic church of St. Luke with the coat of arms of the Sobota family.

Free time

Tourist also enjoy the atmosphere of ancient Dalmatian wine cellars, fresh fish and quality local wines, a blend of the ancient and the modern. Yachting, diving and fishing are practiced. Small yachts may dock within the small harbour and larger ones at the end of the bay, southeast of the chapel and south of the Plokata hill.
