Information about Muhyoukan

Guests can relax in the public hot-spring baths at Muhyokan. Featuring Japanese-style accommodations, guests can borrow free bicycles to tour the city. JR Takayama Train Station is a 10-minute drive away. The air-conditioned rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding. A TV, safety deposit box and a private toilet are included in each. Japanese Yukata robes are provided for all guests and bathrooms are shared. Newspapers and photocopying services are available at the front desk. Drink vending machines are on-site as well. A traditional multi-course meal is available for dinner. All meals are served in the dining room. Muhyokan Inn is a 10-minute drive from Takayama Castle Ruins and a 20-minute walk from Old Town Takayama. Hidatakayama Musuem of Art is a 15-minute drive away.

All guestrooms are located on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Please note that requests for rooms on the ground floor cannot be accommodated. Guests without a meal plan who want to eat breakfast and dinner at the hotel must make a reservation at least 3 days in advance. Guests who wish to reserve the private hot-spring baths, must make a reservation at the front desk. The bath is available for 30 minutes per guest between 16:00 and 21:30. Guests with a tattoo may not be permitted to enter public bathing areas and other public facilities.
