Quick description

Built during the Edo Period, Yumoto Ryokan is the oldest Japanese-style inn in the Yudanaka area. A 15-minute drive to Snow Monkey Park, it offers a hot-spring bath and free WiFi in areas. Guests can choose a room with Western beds and a Japanese-style seating area, or go for the full Japanese experience with futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. All rooms have air conditioning, sliding paper screens, green tea, Yukata robes and a mini-fridge. An en suite toilet is provided, and guests bathe at the shared hot-spring baths. The inn is a 10-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station and a 20-minute drive to Hokusai Museum. On-site parking is free. A free shuttle bus is available to Jigokudani valley, guests just need to call the hotel for pick-up. You can relax with a massage or soak in the open-air bath with a garden view. A set-menu Japanese breakfast and dinner are served at the dining room. Dinner is a traditional Kaiseki multi-course meal, featuring regional specialities made from fresh seasonal ingredients.
