Newly opened in 2011, this motel offers air-conditioned studios and apartments with flat-screen satellite TV and DVD players. Guests have free access to bicycles for exploring the local area. The Dawson Motel is located in the centre of New Plymouth, just 150 metres from the Coastal Walkway. It is a 5-minute walk to Puke Ariki and a 5-minute drive to Pukekura Park. Each self-contained unit includes air conditioning and a microwave, refrigerator and tea/coffee making facilities. Some units include a fully equipped kitchen. There is an iPod docking station and a private bathroom in every unit. Some have sea views.
