Heron Island is accessible by boat and sea plane from Gladstone. The boat departs Gladstone at 14:00 and departs the resort at 10:00 each day except Tuesdays and Thursdays. The duration of the transfer is approximately 2 hours. The resort runs a courtesy coach to pick guests up from the airport. Additional charges for transfers from Gladstone to Heron Island apply. Please note that the hotel offers free transfers from Gladstone Airport to Gladstone Marina only. The free coach will pick you up from the airport at 12:40 and will arrive at the Marina approximately 10 minutes later. The Heron Islander departs Gladstone Marina at 14:00 (additional charges apply; AUD $62.00 one way per adult and AUD $31 one way per child aged 2 to 12 years).
