Rinteln is a small town located on the banks of the Weser river above the Porta Westfalica in Lower Saxony, Germany. Rinteln lies in the mountain landscape in district of Schaumburg. The center is in 1980 renovated square with the church of St. Nicholas and the building Ratskeller, which is an example of architectural style Weserrenaissance. Eulenburg museum is one of the oldest museums in the area of Weser and was opened in 1908. Rinteln is accessed by the A2 autobahn (E30).
