The Trollstigen Mountain Road is a former trade route, part of the Golden Path north and was opened in 1936 by King Haakon VII. The road goes up the hill of solid rock from sea level to a height of 800 meters. The Trollstigen Mountain Road include eleven hairpins and a steep incline of 9 percent. Trollstigen is a very popular and dramatic attraction in Norway.
