Information about Picnic Inn

Located on Maafushi Island, Picnic Inn provides air-conditioned rooms with en suite bathrooms. It has a restaurant and provides free Wi-Fi in the entire property. The guest accommodation is next to the Boat Club. It takes a 30-minute speedboat ride from Male International Airport or 90 minutes by ferry boat from Male Jetty to the island. The rooms are simple and homely. They feature tiled flooring and freshly laundered beddings. All rooms at Picnic Inn come with a HD TV, mini fridge and heated shower. Guests can go scuba diving, take picnic trips to islands, dolphin watch or snorkel. Night fishing is available and guests are able to have their freshly caught fish for dinner. It has a restaurant serving Maldivian and Continental dishes.

Speedboat Transfer: Speedboat transfer is available 24 hours. Please request for speedboat transfer in advance for efficient transfer. The guest must specify arrival flight number before the arrival. The hotel representative will receive the guest at airport on the arrival. Speedboat Journey takes 30 minutes to Maafushi. The additional cost is not included in room rates, and must be paid at the hotel directly. Extra guests (more than 5 people) pay USD 42 per person per way. This is inclusive of tax and excludes infants. It is advisable to request speedboat transfers in advance in order for arrangements to be made efficiently. Guests can take a ferry to Picnic Inn as an alternative. Ferryboat Transfer: Ferryboats depart from Male’/Villingili Ferry Terminal to Maafushi at 3:00 pm every day except Friday and at 10:00 am every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. You have to take a 10-minutes ferry from Airport to Male’ followed by a 10-minutes taxi to Villingili Ferry Terminal/Male’. Tickets are available from Terminal. Please try to get ferry tickets as early as you can at Viligili Ferry Terminal. Ferryboat Journey takes 90 minutes. The hotel representative will receive the guest at Maafushi Jetty. Ferryboats depart from Maafushi Jetty at 7:30 am every day except Friday and at 12:45 pm every Saturday, Monday and Wednesday.
