Information about YHA Keswick

Surrounded by lovely greenery in the heart of vibrant Keswick centre, YHA Keswick is just a 10-minute walk from Lake Derwentwater. It features a restaurant and relaxing TV lounge. YHA Keswick is set within a picturesque house on the banks of the River Greta. Keswick’s unique shops and restaurants are all within 15 minutes’ walk. Guests can rent a boat on Derwentwater, or enjoy a walk up Skiddaw Mountain, 10 minutes’ drive away. Guests can make use of the self-catering kitchen and dining room at YHA Keswick. A small shop is also available for guests. Wi-Fi access is available, along with luggage storage. The majority of rooms contain bunk beds.

Please note that catered meals are not available until 01 March 2017 due to the flood damage. Guests have access to the self-catering kitchen. The property needs apologies for any inconvenience caused. Please note that the property is undergoing extensive refurbishment following the flooding in 2016 to upgrade and improve the guests facilities. Works will continue until 2017 but will remain open throughout. Works include reconfiguring the ground floor social spaces to provide a new combined reception/café bar and dining with French doors opening over the river plus a new self-catering kitchen and social space with AV facilities. There is currently limited bike storage whilst refurbishment is being carried out. All guests must show a valid photo ID upon check-in. Driver’s license, passport, student ID or similarly recognised national identity cards are accepted. Please note that towels are not included in the room rate. Guests can hire them at the property or bring their own. Group bookings: All bookings for 17 people or more cannot be accepted by YHA. Please note this property does not charge an additional temporary membership fee. Discounts are not available for members of YHA (England and Wales) or IYHF as part of this booking.
