This 16th-century building was created by the architect Galeazzo Alessi, who also designed the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli in Assisi. It is now a family-run hotel offering air-conditioned rooms. Hotel Lo Scudo is in Assisi's historic centre, just 400 metres from the Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi. It is surrounded by the town's most beautiful monuments and churches. Rooms at Lo Scudo have a classic design with carpeted floors and wood furniture. They all feature a TV and a private bathroom with a bathrobe, hairdryer and toiletries. Homemade cakes are served at breakfast, with savoury items available on request.
