Information about Gem Island Resort & Spa

Set on a private island paradise, Gem Island Resort & Spa offers beach getaways with waterfront villas, peaceful white sands and luxurious spa treatments. It features water sports facilities and concierge services. Opening out to a private balcony, the spacious air-conditioned units feature wooden flooring and stunning views of the sea or surrounding greenery. They have a cable TV, a tea/coffee maker and private bathroom. Guests can opt for a body oil massage at the spa or lounge by the pool. The tour desk can arrange numerous water sports, diving and caving trips. Situated by the coastline, the restaurant serves Asian and Western meals with a selection of fine wines. Room service is available. Resort Gem Island is a 15-minute boat ride from Marang Jetty. From the jetty, it is a 30-minute drive from the Kuala Terengganu Airport.

Breakfast included is for 2 guests per room only. Please note that parking is not available at the resort, and is only available at Marang Jetty. The resort provides a boat transfer from Marang Jetty at an additional cost, to be paid directly to the resort. Boat schedules are as followed: From Marang Jetty to Resort: 09:00/ 11:00/ *13:00/ 15:00 From Resort to Marang Jetty: 09:30/ 11:30/ *13:30/ 15:30 * not available on Fridays Return transfers cost MYR 75 per adult and MYR 55 per child (11 years and below). Outside of the schedule, guests can also hire a boat from 15:00 - 18:00 and 06:00 - 09:00. Each boat can take up to 12 guests. Cost is an additional MYR 160 per boat per one-way trip. (In addition to the return transfer cost per person.) Guests who choose not to take the resort's official operator (Suria Link Boat Operator) are required to pay an additional MYR 25 per guest for the Turtle and Marine Conservation Fund, which is otherwise included in the official operator's prices. The resort’s electricity is powered by generator sets, thus there will be no electricity for 3 hours daily from 14:30 to 17:30.
