Quick description

The Yewdale Inn is a situated in the centre of Coniston, within the Lake District National Park. Built of local stone and slate in 1896, the property was once part guest house, part bank. The Yewdale provides centrally heated rooms with en-suite bathrooms, a TV and tea/coffee making facilities. There is a bar and a cafe, which serves a varied menu using locally sourced ingredients. The inn is open daily for breakfast, morning coffee, snacks, lunches, afternoon tea and evening meals. Non-residents are welcome. The owners and staff are happy to offer advice and information on how to enjoy the local area. If you feel like visiting the surroundings, fishing, boating, canoeing, walking and pony trekking are all available on or around Coniston Water. The museum in the village features the speed record breaker Donald Campbell, plus the life and work of the Victorian artist John Ruskin.
