Overlooking the Sognefjord, this stylish hotel is in the village of Brekke, 5 minutes' drive from European Route E39. Built of Norwegian pine, it features a waterfront terrace. Brekkestranda Fjordhotel was designed by well-known architect, Bjørn Simonnæs. Features include 1100 windows of varying shape, and a grass roof. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi and either a balcony or patio. Most offer magnificent fjord views. Brekkestranda’s restaurant serves homemade dishes based on traditional recipes.
