Gössweinstein is a municipality in Upper Franconia in the district Forchheim and is located in the Franconian Switzerland, at the confluence of Wiesent, Ailsbach and Püttlach.

Sights

A characteristic feature of the town is the castle and pilgrimage basilica. Parish and Pilgrimage Church of the Holy Trinity is the largest monument of Gössweinstein. The church consists of a monumental religious center of Franconian Switzerland. Gössweinstein Castle is a medieval castle in the town Gössweinstein.
