Norderstedt is a city in the south of district Bad Segeberg in Schleswig-Holstein. City of Norderstedt is the largest city in the district Segeberg and is in fact a part of Hamburg.

Fire Museum of Schleswig-Holstein was opened in 1990 in the Norderstedt-Mitte and offers on 2100 m² exhibition space information about the history of fire prevention and protection from the late Middle Ages until modern times. In the area Harksheide in a city park you find the city Arboretum and several ponds. In addition to cultural events, including theater, concerts and movies there are activities for leisure in the sports club, on the playground or football field, swimming pool Arriba, or a lot of hiking, riding and bicycle trails.
