Hückelhoven is a town in the district Heinsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia, near the border with the Netherlands. Town is dominated by the coal industry. You will find Mineral and Mining Museum, Museum of wicker Hilfarth, Opel Hückelhoven museum. Blumenthal Haus is only partially preserved castle in the Brachelen part and castle Rurich is a charming manor house with an English park in the Rurich.

Leisure time

In 1994 there was a refurbished swimming pool. It offers courses in swimming, family swimming, games and fun afternoon for children and swimming for women.
