Alt Schwerin is a village in the western part of Mecklenburg Lakes Region in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in district Müritz / Mecklenburg Lake District. Alt Schwerin is located at the Lake Tauchow See and between the lakes Drewitzer See and Plauer See. There is a good condition form camping. It is under the administration of the town Malchow.

Also worth seeing is the baroque castle from 1773. Alt Schwerin is a tourist-oriented village. You will find there two hotels, two camping sites, restaurants and bike trails in a natural park Nossentiner / Schwinzer Heide. Agricultural Museum Agroneum shows the historical development of agriculture in Mecklenburg.
