Bad Saarow-Pieskow is located in county Oder-Spree in region Brandenburg.

Known is the site for its healing hot springs and mineral-rich mud, which was already at the beginning of the history of the site in 1900 to cure skin diseases. Bad Saarow is a brine and mud spa on Scharmützelsee. It lies about 70 km southeast of Berlin. Bad Saarow is characterized by its wooded and park-like property of the early years of the residential colony for a plan of Louis Lesser, Ernst Emil Kopp and Kopp.

Leibsch is a small village belonging to the municipality Unterspreewald in Brandenburg, in the district Dahme-Spreewald. On the cemetery of Leibsch 155 soldiers are buried, 73 of them are names known. There is worth mentioning open-air museum constructed from old water treatment plants.

The Film Festival Cottbus is a  Festival of East European Cinema and is a yearly event in Cottbus Film Festival. Since 1991 The festival takes place each November and provides a comprehensive overview of the current film productions of the entire Central and Eastern European region.
