Bernkastel-Kues is a town on the Mosel River in the district Bernkastel-Wittlich in Rhineland-Palatinate.
SightsThe village is a state-recognized spa. Place of interest in Bernkastel is the medieval market square with its houses with half-timbered gables dating from the 17th Century, among which stands out pointed house Spitzhäuschen, coming from the 1416. Michael's fountain from 1606 with many other preserved buildings and Renaissance town hall from 1608 adorn the city. In the local part of Bernkastel lie the ruins of Landshut Castle, former summer residence of the archbishops of Trier, which was destroyed by fire in 1692. Enkirch is a village on the River Moselle, belonging to the Traben-Trarbach, in the district Bernkastel-Wittlich, in Rhineland-Palatinate.
SightsThe small Enkircher museum with many artifacts and exhibits not only gives a great insight into the historical past of the old wine village ANCHIRIACUM-ANKARACHA-ENKRICHA, as it was earlier, but also on the daily life and work of the inhabitants of the old Moselle village. An interesting destination for tourists are the local churches. Very nice old half-timbered houses in narrow streets look very interestingly and create the atmosphere of the Middle Ages.
WineEducational wine route, wine tasting, wine festivals, marked hiking trails, recreation area at the river Moselle, and many others contribute to an exciting holiday in the village Enkirch.
